The Story Behind the Society

A little wild. A whole lot of love.

Hi, I'm Brooke โ€” the animal lover behind Wild Things Pet Society. Here's how a houseful of wonderfully wild creatures turned into a Boise pet-care business.

Hi, I'm Brooke!

I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and cats, and always dreamed of having dogs of my own someday. When my husband and I started our life together, along came Banjo and Maverick, our original crew. Those two showed us just how deeply animals become part of the family. We even brought them on our honeymoon because we couldn't imagine leaving them behind!

Today, our home is a wonderfully wild mix of human children, dogs, cats, bunnies, reptiles, fish, and even a jumping spider! It's a lively household full of different personalities, unique needs, and never a dull moment. Living with such a variety of creatures has taught me that every animal has their own quirks, routines, and ways of feeling safe and loved.

I've also experienced the extra care, worry, and heartache that come with loving senior pets and animals with special needs. I understand the anxiety of leaving them in someone else's hands, especially when medications, mobility challenges, or health concerns are part of everyday life. Sometimes, just knowing someone truly understands those worries makes all the difference.

That's really what inspired Wild Things Pet Society. I love animals, I love helping people, and I know how much peace of mind comes from having someone you genuinely trust caring for your pets. Whether you're heading out of town or just need an extra hand during a busy week, you deserve to know your animals are happy, comfortable, and in caring hands.

My goal is simple: to get to know your pets, respect their routines, embrace their personalities, and give them the same thoughtful, attentive care I'd want for my own.

Because they're never just pets. They're family.

Here's to happy pets, good humans, and all the wild things we love.

The heart of it

Furry, scaly, shy, spirited, or a little unusual

That's the heart behind Wild Things Pet Society. I know firsthand that every animal has its own quirks, routines, and personality. Whether they're furry, scaly, shy, spirited, or a little unusual, they all deserve thoughtful, loving care.

Because they're never just pets. They're our people.
